Welcome
Join Michael Ignatieff and the Liberal Express in Halton

This summer, Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff will embark on a cross-country tour that will cover all 13 Provinces and Territories. He will be meeting Canadians across the country to discuss issues that matter to them. This tour is unprecedented for the leader of an opposition party outside of an election period and reflects Mr. Ignatieff's commitment to openness and public consultation when developing policy.
Halton residents will have the opportunity to meet with Michael Ignatieff and Halton candidate Deborah Gillis when the Liberal Express stops at the Williams Coffee Pub in Burlington on July 30th. All are welcome at the event and coffee and light snacks will be provided.
Rides are available to those in the riding and immediate surroundings who need one. Please contact info@haltonliberals.ca if you do need a ride or are interested in volunteering to help make the event a success.

Call to Action
Dear Constituents,
In four short years, Stephen Harper and his Conservative government have damaged our international reputation, plunged our country into the largest deficit in its history, taken government accountability to new lows, cut funding to important environmental and arts programs, and shown a lack of vision for the future of our country.
We need to work hard together to bring the Liberal message to Halton and ensure that whenever the next election is called, a Liberal government is elected.
You can help make this a reality by volunteering with the riding association and getting involved in making a better Canada by working together.
Participating is Simple
All you need to do is have a look at our list of committees and jobs and pick one where you think you could make a difference.
We’ll introduce you to one of our committee chairs, get you the training you need and then you’ll be well on your way to being engaged – building a better, more generous, richer and greener Canada!
Getting involved with our riding association is great way to learn valuable new skills, become a better communicator, and meet a wonderful group who will quickly feel like old friends.
We know you have many ideas about how to improve the country you love. The time is now for you to take action and make a difference.
There is no greater bond than the bond of working together to improve Canada.

A message from our President
Halton Deserves Better
Everyone in Halton will agree that we are fortunate to live in one of the finest regions of Canada. Halton is a safe and prosperous area within the GTA with easy access to several large cities, and the amenities that they offer. Our residents are respectful of others and enjoy the fruits of their hard working efforts. We truly represent the best of Canada.
Sadly, Halton has not been well represented in Ottawa for the past few years. Our current Member of Parliament has opted to create a series of tabloid fodder instead of helping Halton constituents. Our HFLA riding association has received an increasing number of calls from residents who are looking for help and who feel ignored by their Member of Parliament.
Halton deserves better.
We’re working hard to change that in the next election, but we need your help!
Deborah Gillis is our Liberal candidate for Halton and will make us proud as our next Member of Parliament. Deborah is a talented and compassionate lady and puts people first and will serve Halton with dignity and honour as our representative in Ottawa.
How Can You Help?
We need your help. To win the next election we’ll need money and resources to get out the vote. Please donate to our Halton Federal Liberal Association through our Victory Fund program and get involved through our many volunteer roles. Please join us in sending Stephen Harper a clear and loud message that Halton deserves better. Halton deserves Deborah Gillis.
Best Regards,
Steve Savage
President Halton Federal Liberal Association
