For over 15 years, Connie has been a successful advocate. She has shaped public policy and understands how to effect change in government. As a 20-year Halton resident she is ready to utilize her skills to stand up for the interests of Halton residents in Ottawa.
✦ FOCUSED ON FAMILY
A proud wife and hockey mom of two teenage boys, Connie has a track record of fighting for families. Connie is a strong supporter of Michael Ignatieff and the Liberal Party of Canada’s Family Care Plan.
✦ DISCIPLINED AND SENSIBLE
Connie’s direct and reasoned approach has led her to secure tax relief for Canadian families and significant government investment in multiple federal budgets. Connie understands the importance of the uniquely Canadian balance of sound economic policy that is socially progressive.
✦ INTERNATIONALLY ACCOMPLISHED
Currently, she is the Executive Director of Inclusion International where she leads the organization’s strategic and financial operations across 200 national member organizations in 115 countries. Connie has over 10 years of experience in international development, working with the United Nations, the World Bank, and governments in every region of the world. Connie is fluent in English, French and speaks conversational Spanish.
